Recordings of music have allowed amazing composers and groups to perform in homes and classrooms around the world . Above, John Williams (Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park) goes over the score to one of his famous movie scores in the recording studio.

  1. John Williams is probably one of the few remaining scorers from the previous generation of musicians who rely more on live performance than computer-generated noise and music alterations. I still have a number of John Williams soundtrack CDs in my collection and, because of his loyalty to live music and performance, is my favorite composer.
